The Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research
Visiting Scholar Program
Training Fellowships
Thanks to the Agnese N. Haury Fund for the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research we have funds available from time to time for our Short-Term Training Fellowship Program:
- This Program is designed to provide supervised training here in tree-ring analysis to individuals who demonstrate significant potential to contribute to the enhancement of the field of dendrochronology.
- Trainees may be graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or established scientists.
- It is envisaged that each Fellowship will last for two months and will usually cover travel to Tucson and living costs whilst here.
- Special attention will be given to well-qualified candidates with archeological interests, although expressions of interest from all areas of dendrochronology will be very welcome.
- Both foreign and domestic candidates will be considered.
- Please address e-mail inquiries about the current status of this Program to Administrative Associate Phyllis Norton, being sure to include the words "training fellowship" in the subject field.
Please note that when the Program is accepting applications, they should take the following form:
- Cover letter expressing interest in the Program
- Curriculum vitae
- Publication list
- Details of academic background and level of achievement
- Names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses of three academic referees
The University of Arizona is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Women and Minorities are encouraged to apply.
